Joy to the world... Feliz Navidad, próspero año y felicidad!
Wow, time flies! The month of December has gone smoothly compared to the last three months. No quarantining so far, yay! the men in my life are all healthy and happy - so that's a wonderful very wonderful thing. Most importantly, I'm doing terrifically well! which means everyone around me is doing fantastic. I'm following the Insanity Workouts and I can definitely say that I see and feel the results. I am toner and stronger. This program is 2 months long, I am barely in my 2nd week. I can't hardly wait for the end of my program. I'm also into participating in several 5ks.
Shae started hunting the last week of November and continues doing so this month - no luck so far though :0(. I can see he's trying not to be discouraged, but he keeps his hopes up for a doe or a buck. I have actually started being interested in this sport, sounds and looks exhilarating (thinking of picking up bow hunting - who knows!).
Evan, is developing more and more every day. He loves coming up with "ideas" like using tape to connect things and making bridges "puentes." When he likes his ideas he says "ah, me guta este idea" - I like this idea. It's so wonderful to see his beautiful brain work to figure things out. Another thing he's doing more and more now is pretending to play. During this solo, pretend play, he likes to utter the words "auda, auda" - help! help! he loves bringing his cop car or the ambulance to help another car in need. He also loves playing ROUGH with his little hermanito. They wrestle and chase each other all around the house - such lovely moments. Aside from playing rough, he can be gentle and caring; for example, he makes sure to bring Ethan ice cream if he's having one, or if Ethan is getting into trouble, he makes sure to let me know. One thing that Evan started doing again is spitting and having pee accidents. I guess it is because he sees his little brother doing that, so he does it to get our attention. I'm hoping he grows out of this soon.
Ethan, wow, Ethan is such a wonderful toddler! He's tough and caring all at the same time. He loves loves his big hermano, and follows him around everywhere. Last month, we went to Pensacola for Thanksgiving, I feel like Ethan had so much social anxiety that he behaved horribly, he bit, pushed, punched, etc. everyone from adults to kids. Ethan was full of emotions and had a difficult time coping with them. I did get stressed out, but I tried to keep my cool so that he knew I wasn't intimidated and that I knew and acknowledged his feelings - but it was very hard! I was sooooooo happy to be back home, back to our routines, and back to my little one being his sweet thoughtful self again. A few days back at the daycare, his teachers did notice that he was a bit rough and rambunctious than ever, he was still coping. Thank God, he's doing so much better now. As far as his speaking goes, he is slowly saying more words, but not really forming sentences. He says "ya ya ya" to express: open, close, all done, and let's go. Shae is catching up to his innovative utterances because sometimes we have no idea what he's saying hahahahahahaah.
